eLearning
What eLearning is.
In a classroom, eLearning is a ‘blended model of learning featuring a balance between virtual and face to face delivery’. (Education Qld. Smart Classroom Bytes August 2008) In simple terms, eLearning is about using ICTs as an integral part of student learning, embedded into the curriculum. eLearning also embraces the notion of ‘anywhere, anytime, anyplace’ learning…..meaning that learning is not restricted to the four walls of a classroom or a set time frame….it is about a new, connected and 21st century way of learning.
eLearning should be ‘joyful, collaborative, self empowered learning‘…
from the mission statement One Laptop per child project, an inspiring project.
